Spring Concert Details | May 18th, 2021 (Rain Date May 20th)

This year's spring concert will be held at the Perry Track on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021. (Rain Date 20th)

The concert will be organized so that we can welcome an in-person audience to this event-to help us do this safely, we are breaking our evening's audience apart in two:

The set up for this evening's concert will occur at: 5pm

All MS Percussionists are to report at this time to assist with the set-up for the concert.

We are going to need a lot of parent support to help make this evening possible - if you are able to assist us with the set up, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C45ADAC2CA4FCC16-perry

Call time for MS students will be at: 5:30pm at the MS.

8th grade will report to the MS auditorium with their instruments and music.

7th grade will report to the MS cafeteria with their instruments and music.

6th grade will report to the MS band room with their instruments and music.

We are going to need a lot of parent support to help make this evening possible - if you are able to assist us with chaperoning the rooms while students warm up, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C45ADAC2CA4FCC16-perry

The MS Portion of the Concert will occur at - 6pm

Then, we will reset the performance area and ask our MS audience to depart with their student-musicians at this time.

Audience Procedures & Protocols:

We are proudly welcoming our Perry families to this event, and with that comes some procedures we have to follow in accordance with current health measures.

Our audience will be seated on the field while our band performs from the track - it will be a true "Concert in the Park!" So please, bring a lawn chair or a towel to sit on to sit back and relax for an evening of wonderful music.

In accordance with current health measures, while on the field in the audience we must:

1) Wear masks at all times

2) Keep a social distance of 6ft between our family unit and the unit around us.

Performance Attire:

Since we are unfortunately unable to distribute uniforms this year, we are asking all of our performers to "dress nice" in what can be referred to as "business casual."

This term is meant to be open ended - as long as the attire looks nice and professional, it will be acceptable for our presentation during our concerts.

If you're unsure of what this may mean, here is a reference:

What to Wear for Women

Appropriate business casual outfits for women include a skirt or dress slacks, blouse, sweater, twinset, jacket (optional), and hosiery (optional) with closed-toe shoes. Sandals or peep-toe shoes may be permissible in some offices but save flip-flops for the weekend.

Some specific items may include:

  • Khaki, corduroy, twill, or cotton pants or conservative-length skirts

  • Sweaters, twinsets, cardigans, polo/knit shirts

  • A professional dress

What to Wear for Men

For men, appropriate business casual attire is dress slacks or chinos, a button-down shirt, dark socks, and dress shoes. Avoid wearing polo shirts to an interview, even if they are acceptable for the job in question. Do not wear jeans or shorts. Athletic socks are also a no-no.

Some specific items may include:

  • Khaki, gabardine, wool, or cotton pants, neatly pressed

  • Cotton long-sleeve, button-down shirts, pressed

  • Sweaters

  • Leather shoes, in black and brown

  • Leather belt, in black and brown

  • A selection of ties
